We are horrible as humans at determining causation. We suck at fully understanding why things happen, or how they happen. And that is where religion comes from. Because we suck so badly at determining causation. So all of us … all things … all religions … all philosophies … all spirituality comes from the exact same thing. It is all true in this sense. They are descriptions of potentialities within the human psyche. They are descriptions of experiences that our ancestors had … translated into law … you know, you gotta translate it, or tell stories about it … they are all potentialities … within the human psyche. In other words, they’re stories about awareness. Okay? In a nutshell. That’s what happens. That’s what goes on. So that awareness – if you will – that idea … that understanding … every thing … the reason there are bibles and religious texts and all these things, is because … it was a way … they are an attempt to capture the potentiality of expansion or potential within the human consciousness. Some of it was simply rules and laws for that society. Stuff like, by the way, don’t screw your neighbor’s wife … don’t murder people … don't have sex with animals, blah, blah, blah … lots of it is that … this is what you eat … this is what you don’t eat … this is what you do … it’s basically just telling your tribe of peeps what to do … when to do it … how to do it. But the ideas were potentialities in the human psyche … in other words, it is potential to sit and meditate … tune into the frequency of love and … experience the entire universe as love. Lots of teachings on love. And lots of people agree with that teaching. The universe is love. How do I know? Well, the people are talking about it … other people who are like me! It has to be true! So hear what I am saying. All teachings are true in this sense: they are potentialities within the human psyche. What is possible? The mistake that we start to make is when we say: Therefore, it is truth with a capital T. True for all people in all places and all times in all universes and all ways … this is the universal law. And that’s where we find ourselves today. We find ourselves living in a world … where potentialities in the human psyches have been concretized into reality and truth - and everybody thinks that they are the one's with the one true law.
